Looking to earn your CGMP designation? Arrive in Detroit a few days early to take the class and exam.
The Certified Government Meeting Professional (CGMP) designation is designed for planners and suppliers whose work is governed by the rules and regulations of the government. The class will take place June 22-25 and is $595. After three full days of classroom instruction (evening group study sessions are recommended), the exam is taken on the fourth day. Separate registration is required.

CGMP Course & Exam Registration
Individuals who have earned their CGMP have obtained the highest designation available that is specifically for government meeting professionals. The CGMP is recognized within the hospitality industry; many government contracts require planners working on the contract have their CGMP certification.
In addition to demonstrating your commitment to enhancing your government expertise and to improving the quality of your meetings, earning your CGMP has numerous benefits for your career and for your employer.
In order to take the CGMP Class and exam, you must be a current member of SGMP for at least six (6) months. This requirement may be waived with documentation of at least one (1) year experience in the hospitality industry.
