Health & Safety
The health and safety of our members, attendees, sponsors and speakers are of utmost importance to SGMP. SGMP does not require proof of vaccination status or a negative test result to attend the 2023 NEC in-person event. Mask-wearing at the 2023 NEC is encouraged but will be optional.
SGMP expects attendees to take responsibility for following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) on measures to reduce infection from COVID-19 and to protect against severe complications. SGMP urges all members to follow the CDC’s recommendation that everyone over age 5 receive the updated bivalent vaccine as soon as they are eligible to do so (e.g., 2 months past their last shot).
For more information, please review CDC’s guidelines.
Attendees who are not up-to-date on vaccinations are asked to take an at-home COVID-19 rapid antigen test before traveling to the 2023 National Education Conference (NEC) and should not attend if they test positive or have symptoms of COVID-19. SGMP will not be requiring proof of these measures, however, we call upon the SGMP community to act responsibly and with consideration for the health and safety of others.
SGMP cannot be held liable for COVID-19 cases arising because of event attendance. By registering for and attending SGMP’s 2023 National Education Conference, conference attendees agree to these policies.
SGMP’s policies are subject to change based on COVID-19 community levels and any updated guidance from CDC and/or federal or state officials in localities hosting the 2023 NEC in-person event. Guidance on COVID-19 is continually updated, and SGMP appreciates the understanding of its members and guests as we seek to provide valuable, timely face-to-face programming while prioritizing the health and safety of attendees.
