Teamwork has its challenges, even on a good day. But the past year has presented even more challenges for individuals. With many of us connecting virtually more than ever before, how do you assemble a team and keep each member inspired and focused on the goal ahead?

Teamwork and productivity author, speaker and educator Lee Rubin will give the closing keynote at the 2021 NEC on “Five Components of Extraordinary Teams” to help attendees amplify their leadership and teamwork skills.

NEC 2021 Closing Keynote Session on Teamwork

Learn how to amplify your leadership and teamwork skills to benefit the government meetings field.

Consider this: machines are evaluated based on the output of the entire unit, not the impressiveness of their individual parts. Anyone ever waxed nostalgic about an automobile axle? Yet, you couldn’t hit the highway without it.

Extraordinary teams require certain components that hold each member together. While most organizations focus exclusively on building the skills of their individual members, elite organizations invest in the “stuff” that transforms a collection of talented individuals into extraordinary, high-performing teams.

Lee will focus on key points including making sacrifices to achieve your team’s common goal, creating open and honest communication as the foundation of trust, and focusing on discipline as the key to consistency. Learn how to create a team that works together for a winning outcome.
