The Society of Government Meeting Professionals (SGMP) recognized chapters across the country for excellence at its most recent 2022 National Education Conference. The Society has 19 chapters across the United States from Washington, DC, to Oregon.
SGMP Chapter Awards for Communications of the Year
SGMP Communications of the Year Awards recognize chapters that have successfully communicated about their ongoing programs to their members with websites, newsletters, email and other forms of communication. SGMP National Board Members Dina Fong, CGMP, and Lorie Jaegers, CGMP, announced the Communications of the Year Awards.
1st – National Capital Chapter

2nd – Michigan Chapter
SGMP Michigan Chapter celebrates receiving a 2022 Communications of the Year Award.
3rd – Old Dominion Chapter
SGMP Old Dominion Chapter receives a 2022 Communications of the Year Award.
SGMP Chapter Awards for Programming of the Year
SGMP Programming of the Year awards recognize chapters that have organized outstanding educational programming and networking events on behalf of their members in the last year. Gilmer Institute of Learning Trustees Kathleen Ryan, CGMP, and Henry Harper, CGMP, announced the Programming of the Year Awards on stage in Pittsburgh.

SGMP Chapter Operations Awards
SGMP gives out chapter operations awards to those chapters for overall excellence in the front and back of the house. SGMP National Board Members Christine Pribbernow, CGMP, and Chris McLaughlin, CGMP, called the winners to the stage.
