The health and well-being of our members, government agencies and the communities we serve is of utmost importance to SGMP. As you are aware, the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) has presented challenges for in-person meetings because of the risk of spreading the virus. Therefore, unfortunately, the Society of Government Meeting Professionals (SGMP) National Board has determined that it is best to cancel the 2020 NEC. We are saddened that we will not be able to gather together and connect as we normally love to do at the 2020 NEC.
We are offering you the opportunity to move your registration over to the 2021 NEC, scheduled for May 18-20, 2021, or obtain a refund. Please complete the form below as soon as possible, but no later than Sunday, May 31, 2020.
SGMP – 2020 NEC – Roll It Over or Refund Request Form
● The deadline to submit this form is Sunday, May 31, 2020. Failure to submit the form by this time will result in a full registration refund. If we do not hear from you by this date, we will proceed to process a full refund for your registration.
● If you paid by credit card, the full registration fee will be refunded back to the same credit card. If the card used is no longer valid, we will issue a check refund – we will contact you for details.
● If you paid by check, the refund will be by check for the full registration amount, mailed to the address on the original check.
● If you choose to roll over your registration fee to the 2021 NEC and later decide you cannot attend, you have until December 31, 2020, to receive a full refund. Any cancellations or refund requests for the 2021 NEC after December 31, 2020, will be bound by SGMP’s cancellation policies for the 2021 NEC, which at minimum would include a $30 cancellation fee.
